Cambridge Makerere Summer School
18-22 September 2023
We recognise that cancer is a worldwide problem and that global collaborations will likely provide the best solutions. Since 2018, the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute (CRUK CI) and the Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) have been working together to share knowledge and resources.
We are pleased to announce that this year we will be running a Summer School in Kampala, to build on the success of the joint Summer Research Programme.
Created in collaboration with Dr Nixon Niyonzima, Head of Research and Training at the UCI, and Dr Paul Katongele, Prof Benon Asiimwe and Dr David Kateete at Makerere University, the Summer School is designed to reach a wide audience and is open to both staff and students.
Between 18-22 September 2023, researchers from the CRUK CI will deliver 5 days of lectures and practical workshops at the Department of Immunology and Molecular Biology at Makerere University, demonstrating state-of-the-art technologies and concepts, all designed to align with ongoing research projects at the UCI.
To attend any of these lectures or workshops, you must register to attend. Places will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
