Dr. Godfrey S. Bbosa is a senior lecturer at the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Makerere University College of Health Sciences, Kampala, Uganda. Since joining Makerere University in 2007, he has played a key role in teaching General and Clinical Pharmacology, Neuropharmacology, Psychopharmacology, Addiction, and Pharmacotherapeutics, while also supervising undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD research.
His research interests focus on alcohol and substance abuse, addiction, stress, mental health, and medicines use and safety. He has also contributed to work on traumatic brain injury, infectious diseases, and the role of medicinal plants in healthcare, with several publications addressing urgent health challenges in Uganda and across Africa.
Dr. Bbosa’s work bridges teaching, mentorship, and research, with a strong commitment to advancing medicines safety and promoting evidence-based practices. His contributions continue to influence both academic discourse and clinical practice in pharmacology and public health.
