On Friday, January 10, 2025, the Makerere University Biomedical Research Center (MakBRC) kicked off the new year with a lively and memorable celebration that brought together staff, leadership, and distinguished guests. This event was held to foster a sense of community and energize the team for the year ahead.

A Warm Welcome to All Participants

The event saw attendance from all corners of the organization, with tags used for efficient participant registration. The guest list featured a remarkable lineup, including project leaders and their teams, laboratory heads and their teams, heads of departments and their deputies, the MakBRC Board of Directors, and esteemed officials such as:

  • Prof. David Patrick Kateete, Dean of the School of Biomedical Sciences
  • Prof. Bruce Kirenga, Principal of Makerere University College of Health Sciences
  • Prof. Moses Joloba, Managing Director of MakBRC

Fun, Games, and Camaraderie

The celebration was brimming with activities designed to engage and entertain everyone. Guests participated in exciting games and enjoyed receiving thoughtful gifts that added a touch of joy to the occasion. The evening concluded with a delightful barbeque cocktail, followed by a spirited dance session that had everyone on their feet.
